Terms and Conditions for Domestic Custom-Ordered Tours

These Terms and Conditions form part of the document explaining the transaction terms prescribed in Article 12-4 of the Travel Agency Act and the contract document prescribed in Article 12-5 of the same Act. Please be sure to read these Terms and Conditions before applying.

Custom-Ordered Tour Contract

  1. A “Custom-Ordered Tour Contract” (hereinafter referred to as the “Contract”) means a travel contract under which, at the request of the Customer, the Company prepares a travel plan specifying the destination and itinerary, the details of transportation, accommodation and other services that the Customer may receive (hereinafter referred to as the “Tour Services”), and the amount of the Tour Price payable by the Customer, and operates the tour in accordance with that plan.
  2. The contents and conditions of the Contract shall be governed by the planning documents (quotation, itinerary, etc.), these Terms and Conditions, the final itinerary (the “Definitive Document”) provided before departure, and the Company’s General Terms and Conditions of Travel Agency Business (Part on Custom-Ordered Tour Contracts).

Application for and Formation of the Contract

  1. A Customer wishing to apply for a Contract based on a travel plan presented by the Company shall complete the required items on the Company’s prescribed application form and submit it together with the application fee separately specified by the Company.
  2. The Contract shall be formed when the Company accepts the application and receives the application fee.
  3. When entering into a Contract with a representative of travelers forming a group (hereinafter referred to as the “Contract Representative”), the Company may accept an application without receiving an application fee by executing a special written agreement. In such a case, the Contract shall be formed when the Company delivers that written agreement.

Delivery of the Contract Document and Definitive Document (Final Itinerary)

  1. Promptly after the Contract is formed, the Company shall deliver to the Customer a “Contract Document” stating the itinerary, details of the Tour Services, Tour Price, other travel conditions, and matters concerning the Company’s responsibilities.
  2. If the finalized itinerary or the names of transportation or accommodation providers cannot be stated in the Contract Document, the Company shall deliver a “Final Itinerary (Definitive Document)” stating the status of those arrangements no later than the day before departure. However, if the application is made on or after the second day before departure, the document may be delivered on the tour start date.

Payment of the Tour Price

The Tour Price shall be paid in full by the date specified by the Company before the tour start date (if a Definitive Document is delivered, by the date specified by the Company after delivery of that document and before the tour start date).

Changes to the Tour Price

  1. If the fares or charges of the transportation providers used are revised due to a significant change in economic conditions or similar circumstances to an extent substantially exceeding what is normally expected, the Company may increase or reduce the Tour Price within the extent of that revision.
  2. If the costs required to operate the tour increase or decrease due to a change in the tour arrangements, the Company shall adjust the Tour Price within the extent of that change.

Cancellation by the Customer (Cancellation Charges)

1. Cancellation subject to cancellation charges

The Customer may cancel the Contract at any time by paying the cancellation charges shown below.

Note: If the Contract involves special arrangements, such as chartered vessels, chartered aircraft, or chartered buses, cancellation provisions different from those above may apply. Any such provisions will be stated in the planning documents presented in advance.

2. Cancellation without cancellation charges

The Customer may cancel the Contract without paying cancellation charges if any of the following circumstances applies:

  1. The contents of the Contract have been materially changed by the Company.
  2. Due to a natural disaster, war, civil disturbance, suspension of services by transportation or accommodation providers, an order of a public authority, or another cause, the safe and smooth operation of the tour has become impossible or is highly likely to become impossible.
  3. The Company fails to deliver the Final Itinerary (Definitive Document) by the specified date.
  4. Due to a cause attributable to the Company, it becomes impossible to operate the tour in accordance with the itinerary stated in the planning documents.

Cancellation by the Company

  1. If the Customer fails to pay the Tour Price by the date specified by the Company, the Company may cancel the Contract. In such a case, the Customer shall pay a penalty equal to the cancellation charge specified in the preceding section.
  2. The Company may cancel the Contract if it determines that the Customer may inconvenience other customers or disrupt the smooth conduct of group activities, or if the Customer is considered unable to continue the tour due to illness or another reason.

Company’s Liability and Exemptions

  1. If the Company or an agent engaged by the Company causes loss or damage to the Customer through willful misconduct or negligence, the Company shall be liable to compensate the Customer for that loss or damage.
  2. The Company shall not be liable for loss or damage suffered by the Customer due to any of the following causes beyond the control of the Company or its agents:
    • Natural disaster, war, civil disturbance, or any resulting change to or cancellation of the itinerary.
    • Suspension of services by transportation or accommodation providers, or any resulting change to or cancellation of the itinerary.
    • Orders of public authorities, restrictions on entry into or departure from a foreign country, or quarantine due to an infectious disease.
    • Accidents during free time, food poisoning, or theft.
    • Changes to the itinerary or a shortened stay at the destination resulting from delays, service interruptions, or schedule changes involving transportation providers.

Customer’s Responsibilities

  1. If the Company suffers loss or damage due to the Customer’s willful misconduct or negligence, the Customer shall compensate the Company for that loss or damage.
  2. The Customer shall endeavor to use the information provided by the Company to understand the traveler’s rights and obligations and the other contents of the Contract.

Special Compensation

Regardless of whether the Company is liable, the Company shall pay compensation and condolence payments in predetermined amounts, in accordance with the Special Compensation Provisions, for certain damage to the Customer’s life, person, or baggage sustained while participating in the organized tour.

Itinerary Guarantee

If a material change is made to the itinerary, the Company shall pay change compensation in an amount calculated by multiplying the Tour Price by a prescribed rate (1% to 5%), in accordance with the Company’s General Terms and Conditions of Travel Agency Business (Part on Custom-Ordered Tour Contracts). This shall not apply to changes resulting from force majeure, such as the suspension of services or a natural disaster.

Handling of Personal Information

The Company shall use personal information submitted when applying for the tour only to the extent necessary to communicate with the Customer, arrange transportation, accommodation and other services, and complete procedures required for the Customer to receive those services.

Passports, Visas, and Health Requirements (Overseas Travel or Special Itineraries)

Not applicable to domestic travel.

Reference Date for Travel Conditions and Tour Price

The reference date for these travel conditions and the Tour Price is September 3, 2026.
